Firefighters reject wage freeze, 8 will be cut

Eight firefighters will be laid off come July first after a vote earlier this week by the firefighters' union to reject the city's request for Wilmington employees to accept a salary freeze. Hear from the firefighters' union president.

Shooting investigation

3 injured in Wilm. crash


At least three people were injured last night in a single car crash in Wilmington. Watch rescuers on the scene of the overturned car that collided with a utility pole. Two girls ages 16 and 17 were transported to the hospital in serious condition. A 28-year-old man was also injured and listed in stable condition.

Burning candle blamed on fire


Wilmington Fire officials say an unattended candle left burning in the living room of a home in the 700 block of N. Adams St. caused sparked a blaze that displaced nine people Saturday. Watch as firefighters doused the flames shooting from the home.
