A trophy fit for a historic occasion
Derek Alexander may be legally blind, but he had a clear vision. Alexander was honored and inspired to be handed the responsibility of designing the First State Cup, which will be awarded to the winner of this year's inaugural Delaware-Delaware State regular-season football game, as well as future tussles. Battle of the Bands
The last time the marching bands from DS and UD got together, they stood
shivering in Washington, D.C., waiting for their turns to march in the
Inauguration Day parade. They'll take the field in Newark on Saturday in
honor of another watershed event -- the first regular-season football game
between the Blue Hens and the Hornets. Watch the bands practice.
